The roots of Theory 47 date back to the Fall of 2008. Former guitarist of "Triple Threat", Will Ahrens, began jamming with Dan Arboleda. After finding a drummer, the band adopted the name "Theory 47", to incorporate the word "theory", explaining life's happenings, and "47" because of the road they practice off of, Route 47. Soon, the two songs "Pointless Reasoning" and "This Can Be" were recorded. Soon after Bayley joined Theory 47, the band came out with new material. The band released their debut CD, "Ready to Live" on May 12th 2009. The CD sold very well, allowing the band to book a handful of shows for the summer of 2009. As the band began writing new material for their second CD, Bayley was moved from rhythm guitarist to keyboardist. The band made this change in order to present variety to their sound and a new edge to their music. Today, the band is bigger and better than ever. Their debut CD, "Ready to Live" is available for purchase on iTunes. In the summer of 2009, Theory 47 played at various Long Island venues, including The Wave, The Rock Lobster, Broadway, the Vibe Lounge, and The Crazy Donkey.
