From all walks of life eight individuals collided and together formed the band Redeye. Reigning from the Inland Empire, this collective group meshes the sounds of rock, funk, reggae, and hip-hop to create rare groove music that can really be given no title or genre. Through the dirt, grime, and crime of the Empire, Redeye emerges in hopes to deliver a powerful message, while they keep your head bobbin’ and your hips swayin’ all the way. Transpiring in 2003 as a live hip-hop band, Redeye began with an assortment of members, the founders being Thomas Montana on vocals, Rob Shavez on lead guitar, Aaron Spivey on drums, and Richard Rump on rhythm. It took years before Redeye would become the band that it is today. With the addition of Kelley Mak on vocals, Steve Payne on guitar, Jake Martinez on the keys and Rick Rodriguez on the congas, Redeye is a force to be reckoned with. Each member contributes different backgrounds and influences ranging from metal, hip hop, classic rock, mo town, punk, reggae, and soul for an experience that is truly eccentric and unforgettable. Through catchy melodies, soulful guitar riffs, and thought provoking rhymes, Redeye has a universal vibe that is transferable to people of all ages, shapes and sizes. This is an act to keep your eye on - not meant to be missed or slept on, and one of the best collaborations coming out of the Inland Empire - proving that truth, talent, and heart exists down the alleys and streets we all live on.
