The Rookies are made up of two guys, Trace Hammond and Preston Welker. We are both from Decatur, Illinois. Currently we are attending school at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Champaign, Illinois. We have always been interested in music and decided with all our free time in the dorm it was time to act upon this interest. In the early stages we would do covers of other artists' songs. This step is going to be a process, but we are committed to success. I would describe our music as Pop/Hip-Hop and we really do not stick to one style.
