Hailing from the stunning beaches of the Central Coast, just outside of Sydney, Australia, The Satellite Nation consists of childhood friends; dynamic front man Adam Byrne, Grant Matzen on bass, Glenn Fraser & Daniel Aird, both on guitar and Brendon Williams on drums.
Formed in 2007, The Satellite Nation are no strangers to the music industry. They are all experienced musicians who’s past incarnations have released several critically acclaimed and commercially successful records, toured relentlessly, building a killer live show, received high rotation on radio and won numerous awards, guaranteeing their place in the Australian Music Scene. They formed TSN as a dedicated musical collective determined to branch out into the international music scene and explore songwriting from a different and unique perspective.
The Satellite Nation are committed to their music and dreams. It is this commitment that has seen them travel across the world in search of inspiration and excellence, leaving the safety of their home turf and relocating to Vancouver, Canada in mid 2007.
Since that time, they have written a plethora of new material and recorded their self titled EP in Los Angeles. The EP was independently released in Vancouver in early 2008. They also filmed a music video out in Joshua Tree, for their first single “Last Time” and played sell out shows and festivals in Vancouver, Toronto, LA and New York which has all lead to an exciting buzz and a devoted fan base.
The Satellite Nation write with brutal honesty about; love, life, loss, success and the world around us. They are a true musical collective, raw and organic, continually pushing the boundaries and themselves, creating a sound distinctly their own. Their live shows are powerful, and leave their audience feeling that they’re part of a truly incredible musical experience.
With plans to record a full length album in the coming months as well as an Australian tour and release, The Satellite Nation have no plans of slowing down. Watch for the sparks to fly!
