The School is a 7-piece from Cardiff, UK playing shimmering 60's influenced indiepop along the lines of Camera Obscura, Belle & Sebastian and The Beach Boys. The School is a 7-piece from Cardiff, UK playing shimmering 60's influenced indiepop along the lines of Camera Obscura, Belle & Sebastian and The Beach Boys. The group formed in April 07, and signed to Elefant Records (Camera Obscura / Lucky Soul / Helen Love) after playing only 4 shows. The School recently have been recording songs with Ian Catt (St Etienne), and release Christmas song Kiss You in the Snow on Elefant in December, split with 3 other Spanish bands on the label. The band will release Valentine / All I Wanna Do on 11th February, and will tour the UK, along with playing a few shows in Sweden and one in Madrid. An EP will follow along with the debut album later in the year. Let It Slip was recently featured on the CD covermount for October's edition of Plan B Magazine, highlighting artists playing Huw Stephens' Swn Festival in November.
