"I Love them" Janice Long, BBC Radio 2 "A Great Band" Daily Record" "Fantastic" STV Born from the depths of the Scottish Highlands, THE SIDE are here to make tunes that make you smile The most recent UK TOUR saw THE SIDE supporting BON JOVI at the 02 Arena in London to an Audience of 23,000, selected as within Scotlands' top40 unsigned bands to perform at Scotlands' top Industry Showcase goNORTH followed by the ROCKNESS Festival and a Main Stage slot at the BELLADRUM Festival Their 1st single release of the year "The Countys Going To Hampden" reached number 23 in the UK Official Indie Breakers Chart. The song was played at the Scottish Cup Final in Hampden (52,000 capacity) and earned the band media interest from BBC TV, The Sun, STV & The Scotsman amongst other mainstream media. Other highlights for the band include performing at the FREEZE Festival in Holland (Only UK Band), goMOSCOW Festival in Russia (1 of 3 bands chosen to represent Scotlands' best new acts) receiving a finalist place in the UK Songwriting Contest, Radio 2 airplay and being invited to play live on Janice Long’s Radio 2 show. THE SIDE have also performed at prevous goNORTH, ROCKNESS, LOOPALLU & BELLADRUM Festivals as well as being selected for NME / LEE Unsigned & The Red Stripe Music Awards. The band have self released 4 EPs and released their debut album "NOWHERE LEFT TO RUN" last year (produced by Greg Kane of Hue and Cry).
