The Slytones have been delighting and bewildering audiences in equal measure with their Cirque De Lune for a few years now. Their live performances are hewn in local legend for their ferocity and showmanship. Described by Brighton fanzine XYZ Magazine as “One of the tightest (not to mention gloriously disturbing) live acts Brighton has to offer,” the band have spent last year travelling the UK festival circuit, spreading the the sound they describe as Psychedelic Garage Blues. The Slytones fuse the poetry and groove of The Doors, the spontaneity of Zappa and the raw energy of Queens of the Stone Age to produce something eminently distinctive. Characterised by sinister undertones, complex rhythm sections and catchy hooks, the music is pulled together with the menacing, raw, and horny vocals of growling frontman Ashley Edwards. Be sure not to miss one of the most original and exciting bands you are are likely to see.
