The Son of a Guns first culminated at the beginning of Summer 2009. Front man Ben Resnick started the band with a hand full of acoustic songs and a drive to put them to good use. That good use would be recognized when, Ben’s younger brother, Max Resnick came into the mix on bass, as well as his friend Pat Song who plays the keys. The Son of a Guns first culminated at the beginning of Summer 2009. Front man Ben Resnick started the band with a hand full of acoustic songs and a drive to put them to good use. That good use would be recognized when, Ben’s younger brother, Max Resnick came into the mix on bass, as well as his friend Pat Song who plays the keys. With the addition of drummer Bob Hersh, the band had their first line up, then known as Cool Your Jets. Unfortunately the band came to a difficult decision to replace Hersh with current drummer Joe Pulomena who took to the bands sound naturally. Recently the band has added guitarist Joe Dicamillo to play lead and finalize the line up of the band you know and love, The Son of a Guns. The Son of a Guns range musically from folk rock to blues to alternative rock to western rock. Recently the band has made a foothold in the New Brunswick Basement show scene and have recently played in the well-known Court Tavern Bar. They plan on playing many more shows to come and keep pushing forward, so come out and support them along with all local music. See you out there.
