Since the time Mark has moved back to Ohio, the guys have logged hours and hours in the studio. They have recorded at break neck speed a self titled album "The Taken". Some songs came easy for them, some took many days and many retakes.
This new album consists of new songs and a few songs like Undertow, Can you hear me calling? (lyrics by Chips Holland) that are 10 years old when they were in there first band "The Wake".
Present day band consists of other than Doug and Mark. Dan Quilter whom they found via..... the Toledo City paper free classifieds. Wayne Oswald is a guitarist that works with Doug at The Pharmacy Counter. When Wayne told Doug he had 2 to 3 hours of music that he could perform by himself. Doug immediately asked Wayne to join the band. Danielle Navarro Birmingham was found at a local karaoke night at Little Sheba's in Toledo. Doug asked her to join the band as a second singer in the band, because Mark and Doug have been searching for a female singer for a long long time. Not to mention Doug and Danielle are both 1992 graduates of Waite high school in Toledo. Mike Burko was the original bass player, but he left to pursue an art career in Savannah Georgia. He was replaced when Doug invited Alex Morrison to come and join the band. Alex has been playing bass for years and went to school with Mark and Doug at Cardinal Stritch in Oregon.
The band has two live shows under their belt and are looking to play more original material w/ a sprinkle of odd ball cover material. Get Taken!
