Marco Sasso and Julian Muia first met on June 25th, 2009, the day the King of Pop - Michael Jackson - passed away, when they both posted MJ tributes on their Facebook profile's at the same time. They became good pals, often getting into heated arguments over whose better, The Beatles or Led Zeppelin, Julian supporting The Beatles and Marco supporting Led Zeppelin. The band officialy formed in mid-August 2009. The duo went through numerous auditions for members as advertised on Facebook, and eventually settled on Sebastian Romanutti on Piano and Organ after seeing an audition tape of him playing Moonlight Sonata. At this point the band went through numerous personnel changes, although the core trio remained intact. In September 2009, the band was to play at the St. Elizabeth Variety Night. Not having a bassist, Julian invited civics classmate Oliver Sidorenko to join the band and play the show. The band made their concert debut at the Variety Night, the first time any of them played with Oliver. Shortly after this, rehearsals continued before Dan Konikoff who played with Marco in funk band Dysfunktional, was invited to the group, and apparently learned the band's four main songs in under 15 minutes. NOTE: Julian and Dan are both movie buffs who enjoy critiquing movies. After two practices as a quintet, the band effectively entered the studio to begin recording a demonstration record with Juno-nominated producer Joe Lima, at Big Room Studio in Vaughan.
