About The Urban Retropolitan Movement

Owings Mills, MD

The Urban Retropolitan Movement is brainchild of Neal Conway (formally of the Original Basement Boy Music). Neal Conway was the musically foundation behind a number of the Basement Boys early major label hits, such as: Crystal Waters (Gypsy Woman...She's Homeless, Makin; Happy), Ultra Nate; (Rejoicing, Scandal), Those Guys (Tonite) and a number of other hits for other artists.More recently,Neal was blessed with Platinum & a 2007 ASCAP Award for his contribution to rapper T.I.'s Hit single "Why You Wanna". The URM is a fusion of Neo-Soul, Lounge, Jazz, Disco and Spoken-Word. The URM represents artists from the Baltimore Metro area with a couple of artists from the Tri-State area. This project features: Robyn Romele, Dana Weaver, Marshall Booze, Monica Jefferson, Dre-Dog & Jasmin Pope & Neal Conway tries to actually sing. Now that's funny
