The Villainy are an indie-rockband with a sound influenced by The National/Keane/The Killers/Drive-by Truckers/Band of Horses.   The band, which formed at the end of 2013, have quickly reached an audience through live gigs and well known music blogs and websites. The Villainy were chosen and voted as "Fresh Faves" on the BBC connected website Fresh On The Net, a music blog with high credibility (campaigns to achieve votes are forbidden and vote rigging causes disqualification) and is highly regarded by artists, listeners and within the music industry. These digital successes have led to the band having the opportunity to tour England twice in 2014 and have also led to further requests for the band to appear in London, Manchester and Liverpool with several UK festival dates already pencilled in for 2015. The band have also played regularly in Sweden and even performed two well received concerts at Live at Heart in Örebro at the end of summer.   In October the band entered into a partnership with Swedish company Musichelp whose mission is to gain placements within Film and TV for The Villainy's music as well as enable the band to play at forthcoming industry seminars such as CMJ, CMW and Midem. During the autumn the band have been working on new material and are presently demoing and recording their debut album. The Villainy have also released an unofficial EP on Spotify containing tracks that will appear on the forthcoming album -  The Villainy – Uniquely Common.  As editor Chris Bye put it on Fresh On The Net:  "Keep an eye on these guys, hassle them for tour dates as they have major potential…"
