This Rigid Empire is an Alternative Pop-Rock band from Orillia, Ontario. Although originally formed in 2005 under the name “Hippypunks,” the band known today was established in 2008. Benjamin Taylor and Patrick Attenborough are the only original members from the band. Ben leads vocals and plays the rhythm guitar while Patrick is the second vocalist and plays the bass guitar. This Rigid Empire is an Alternative Pop-Rock band from Orillia, Ontario. Although originally formed in 2005 under the name “Hippypunks,” the band known today was established in 2008. Benjamin Taylor and Patrick Attenborough are the only original members from the band. Ben leads vocals and plays the rhythm guitar while Patrick is the second vocalist and plays the bass guitar. Patrick and Ben, along with their passion for music, have been writing songs since they were in the eighth grade. Reid Goobie, the second backup vocalist and lead guitarist, joined the band in 2008. The latest addition, Jordan Nieuwhof is the sole drummer. Together, the band has formed a close bond, as well as a passion for the music they have produced throughout their history together.
