Biography

Ben Byler, singer/songwriter, has been in entertainment most of his life, starting at the early age of 9. He has a very successful background in the arts, film, radio, and television. Ben Byler, singer/songwriter, has been in entertainment most of his life, starting at the early age of 9. He has a very successful background in the arts, film, radio, and television. He began performing at Opryland USA in Nashville,TN from 1989 until the park’s close in 1997. In 1992 Ben and then singing partner, Jenny Norris, were given the opportunity to do the opening shows for Lee Greenwood in Branson, MO. for the summer. Some of his film credits include music videos for stars like Billy Ray Cyrus, Alabama, Sawyer Brown, Barbara Mandrell, and most recently Doc Walker’s "North Dakota Boy", which made the top ten music charts in Canada! After graduating, Ben received two music merit scholarships from Belmont University,in Nashville, and Berklee College of Music in Boston. With a publishing deal with A.P.I. Music Publishing and a management deal with Image Management, Ben opted to attend Belmont and stay at home in Nashville, also with his family and friends. He wouldn’t stay for long though. In January of ’99 Ben was cast in the hit Rock and Roll musical, The Summer Of ’66. This show opened in Myrtle Beach, SC. in the spring of 1999 by Jim Owens, CEO and owner of Crook and Chase Productions. The show was a hit and stayed for two seasons! Ben also served as a back up singer for the Crook & Chase stage show. This is also where he met fellow band member, Gary Alexander, who was also cast in this show. With a few other cast members they put together a band called OCTOBER, and had a developmental deal with Warner Brothers Nashville. They recorded demos, but OCTOBER soon faded and all members went their separate ways. After the shows end, Ben headed home to Nashville . In 2002, contacts led Ben to a production agreement with Charles English Productions. Together they worked for two years recording some of the songs you hear on this site. About ten amazing tracks were cut by the time their contract came to an end. Until his next venture Ben was in a band called BEN BYLER AND THE REST which played around the Nashville area in local venues. They played at mostly bars and clubs for about two years. In 2005 Ben received word that ’Lovin’ Every Minute Of It’, a song he cowrote With Nashville songwriter, Steve Pippen, and sister, Liz Byler Shea, was being released as the title track to new country artist Brittany Wells. Ben spent several years in Pigeon Forge, TN performing at Dollywood in shows such as ’Back Where I come from’ and ’Great American Country’ where he has had the opportunity to perform with some of country’s greatest artist like John Berry, Bryan White, Jean Shepherd, Jim Ed Brown, Linda Davis, and many more. Also Ben was invited to Host another Pigeon Forge theater, “The Black Bear Jamboree.” in 2008. Today Ben is living on the west coast and will begin his 3rd contract with Carnival Cruise Lines as a production singer in November 2010. He is working on a campaign to raise money for Military Families with the release of his original song "May They Never Be Forgotten."
