Upon his eventual return back home, still hot with island fever, Tiki Joe set about the streets seeking a cure for the pain and longing of all he left behind, when one cool summer evening amidst a dreary smoke laden club, he came across fellow beach comber and music producer, Bones.
The two discussed their parallel loves for ska, reggae and all around easy-goin' good vibrations, which soon led them to the Jewel City Sounds recording studio to recreate the skankin' sound amidst the city streets so far away from the island heat they both knew so well.
As the red light was a go and the first up-stroke on the guitar was strummed, it was certain there was no turning back now. Calling upon a quirky cast of characters to fill in the needed gaps, Tiki Joe and the Bamboo Band was shakin' the walls with the hottest sounds this side of the Pacific.
