"K.M. K.M. yeah im slayin' em slayin' em"Kid Mufasa, also known as Jordan Williams, was born June 30/1989 in Calgary, AB. Around the age of one, his mother and newly born sister moved to the Crowsnest Pass, after their phillipino father had abandoned the family. At the time Cindy was a 20 year old single mother of the two, poverty was painted all over the walls of the one bedroom apartment, until Michael May came into that picture. and became the loving father the family needed, leading to a younger brother of Jordan and his sister."Shit, man, my dad has saved, and changed our lives in too many ways". says Jordan.Growing up in a small town took its toll. "Haha, i never really had anything in common with hillbilly's", All through grade school Jordan struggled to fit into the clicks, and was never fully accepted. Ridicule, humiliation, and depression was everywhere he went in that town. "Man, like I've never been beat up, but shit, dealing with a town full of prejudice, phoney's/fakes, was not for me".In the earlier years from thirteen to fourteen, Jordan started to act out, and behaviours became more negative and extreme than usual says Jordans' mother. So the journey of tracking down his biological father began, after living with him for less than a year he moved back in with his mother and REAL father. "I just realized that me and the guy who donated the nut that gave birth to me, don't get along, I'm having trouble seeing who the adult is". The depression hit harder, Kid Mufasa got reckless, started taking all his emotions, stress, and depression out on his family, turned to drinking, and partying. Finally after breaking the last straw on the camels back, Mufasa decided to leave the town. "I knew some dudes who was moving to calgary cause they finished school, so i was like "f**k it", I'm com in with you guys". The statement that took Jordan on the most important adventure of his life."Following the Wrong Crowd"Sixteen years old, ready to take on the world, Jordan's First job was at an A&W, worked full-time, and realized things were harder than he thought, the only lessons the people around him at that time taught was, how to; Not Get Caught.A couple years go by and things with a current girlfriend went wrong, Jordan attempted suicide, causing nerve damage, slowing movement in his left hand. "Being an young dreamer, hearing that shit was the hardest part to swallow". Mufasa at that time played guitar all the time, Played in a post-hardcore band called Riverfront Avenue doing lead vocals.Hearing "You probably won't be playing guitar anymore" after the incident, he quit playing music for a couple years, moved to Vancouver, BC. from there it was struggle, struggle turned into drugs and after entering the drug scene it took his partying to a different level. Never addicted to drugs, but money, Jordan turned into an addict for bad habits. Ripping people off for small time dollars, selling drugs that were only real half the time. His first attempt at breaking those habit resulted in him moving back in with his parents, only to crush them once again. From eighteen years old things only got worse, stealing turned into larger amounts, jobs changed like the whether. At nineteen, his parents had to enforce the "tough love" method. So he moved back to Vancouver, ad jumped into debt again, Fleeing the scene once again, Jordan hitch hiked through BC to Creston, British Columbia, and stayed with his grandma , and until he burnt that bridge by stealing money again. Before he went on his BC trips, he had a girl make a grave impact on his decisions. "At first i can honestly say, i was attracted, but there was no love for anyone, including myself". Jordan, and the girl Keshia, kept in touch throughout the his travels, and she offered to put him up for a place to live, clueless to the bridges he had burnt previously. They ended up living together for awhile and Jordan than got found out... stealing little bits of money here and there, turned into a break up, and resulted in selling Crack/Cocaine for his new roommates after being kicked out of her house, and dismissed from the band "Take The Shot". One night while working his "runner" shift at a local club he came back to an empty house, Recording Gear, laptops, money for and from drugs, and the $4000 that he took from a Japanese Exchange student was all gone. Bedroom flipped and raided, leaving nothing but the load of laundry in the wash. April 24th 2010 was when reality kicked him in the face. A few days after that Mufasa got the eviction from the landlord, no money no product, and every bridge was burnt, there was no where to go.Stumbling drunk he came across an empty camper, he stayed in there for a few nights until it got to cold, and until he was so hungry. Jordan Caught word of "The Calgary Drop-In Center".  So he signed in. Found God, Learnt a lot of lessons, Moved on, And here I am now, in a house, in a real bed."Thats basically my life shortened up, Mufasa was a King of the baganda tribe in africa, so i thought that suites me perfect, cause right now I'm feel in like a king, I have beaten everything that has been thrown my way, I get what i want now that i know i can have whatever i want without having to steal or hurt anyone, Ive got the offence of a lion, and the defence of a king, cause once i have something I will never let something i love so much go, ever again, I know who I am now, and I am not a Monster, and I will fix everything, including our hearts." I am the poster child of positive change, and thats what i am trying to do with my music, is let people know that no matter what you have done, if you want it, if you strive for it, you will change, some of us learn the normal way and some are extremists, I am one of those Extremists, anyone going through the same things, man i got you! Have some faith! In yourself!
