MEET T.N.T - Three Naturally Talented Way back in the day before hip-hop began, self-motivated bluesmen like Muddy Waters, Son Thomas and Albert King took over the world of music by bringing their wild, wailing melodies to every jumping juke joint, dusty back road, big city and small town along the dirty South’s historic chit’lin circuit. Nowadays, those same interstate paths are still ablaze by today’s trendsetting trailblazers like three-man music factory T-N-T. Made up of multi-talented trio 19-year-old Texaz (Jesse Carson Jr.), Twelve (Andre Cole) and E-Man (Emmanuel Harris), who are both 20, all three of them sing, rap, produce and dance across stages with electric agility. They already got the Internet and clubs going nuts with a hot and heaping handful of singles like the hopping party starters “Go Lil Mama Go” and “Jockin’” and syrupy smooth players’ anthem “Three Doors Down” featuring rap legend Bun-B. And the streets are quickly heating up with the DJ Bay Bay-hosted independent mixtape Swag Session 101. “Our music will get you on your feet. It’s fun. If you come to one of our shows, you will leave singing the music,” explains Twelve. “Our music is not the ordinary. We give the people what they want to hear because we touch every aspect of music.” Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Three Naturally Talented had been individually making music for as long as they can remember. Before they came together as a group, the all got their start in music playing and singing in the church. Along with the ability to play organ, keyboards and drums, each member also specializes in various live instruments from the drums to clarinet and trumpet. And because each member produces music and is overloaded with talent, they each bring distinct flavors to the musical mixture. Texas has the deep, Barry White bass. E-Man boasts a hypnotizing falsetto and mesmerizing mid-range vocals. And Twelve is smooth with higher-pitched perfection. “Our chemistry makes a talent that no other group has had in history. We can go to singing to rapping to dancing and then to writing and engineering,” says E-Man. “Our sound is brand new and innovative. When we mix our voices together, it creates a totally different sound that catches the ear.” Started by first cousins Twelve and Texaz, T.N.T. initially stood for Twelve N Tex. They ran into childhood friend E-Man while buying studio time. They knew E was a musician and asked him to be featured on a few of their songs. A few verses here and their soon became a lot of songs with his old friends, and before long E became the third member of the group. “He had the same ambitions and goals,” says Texaz. “We all got different flavors. We all got different feels. It’s like three different heads coming together to make one.” They made a name for themselves around the Dallas/ Fort Worth metropolitan area tearing up talent shows and caught the attention of regional management company Polar Hitz Entertainment co-CEOs Cornelious “Corn” Brock and Todd “TJ” Hooker last year. Brock and Hooker recently took Dallas-based group GS Boyz from local heroes to major label single deal with platinum rapper Yung Joc’s Swagg Team/ Jive imprint. So they knew T.N.T. had what it would take to make it to the top of the music industry. And they are definitely off to a good start with the slick, playboy rhymes of “Three Doors Down” featuring Bun-B and theDJ Bay Bay-hosted independent mixtape Swag Session 101. “I can’t compare T.N.T. with nobody,” says Corn. “They make music for the club, for the ladies and they make street music because that’s where they’re from. It’s indescribable.”
