Tonye Aganaba is a dynamic and sultry singer-songwriter born in London, England but raised in Canada. Now based in beautiful Vancouver B.C, her musical education has come primarily from her family's extensive music collection. It was within this catalog of classics that Tonye found some of her greatest influences - Michael Jackson, Sade, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Paul Simon..the list goes on.
Growing up she received formal training in various schools of dance, and later went on to choreograph for her high school's Musical Theater program. Tonye's voice flourished under the tutelage of late vocal coach, Keith Allan Hall, who is most famed for singing with such notable acts as Sammy Davis Jr, and Mahalia Jackson.
With the love and support of her family and many friends, she has had the opportunity to reach heights that once seemed unreachable. To travel to distant corners of the world and share her voice with people of all shapes and sizes. She reaches out to her audiences, her vivacious and bold personality holding their attention until she is through. But most importantly she strives for change, in herself and others through her growing arts organization The Living Society.

A Three Month Contract at the prestigiousBeirut Music Hall , a Luxury music establishment featuring the best of WORLD MUSIC. It has been profiled on BBC News and other media outlets.
A video project in partnership with the International Charity, Save The Children and their Everyone Campaign. Bringing awareness to the basic needs that are NOT being met in third world countries, and what we, EVERYONE, can do to make a difference.
