~About the Band~ Transpose was started at the beginning of 2006 in Beverly, Massachusetts. In May 2006, the band's vocalist, Brian Paone, moved to Jacksonville, FL and recruited ex-Ashes Of Osiris bass player Tim Sigler, guitarist T.J. Monagham and drummer Jason Bonner. Immediately the foursome started writing the songs for the debut album, while playing shows from Kingsland, GA to Orlando, FL. Gold certified producer Scott Fravala attended a local show and was impressed enough to approach the band and offer them to record the debut album, "A Delicate Impact" at his studio in Orange Park, FL. The album was released independently in April 2008 to positive reviews and impressive sales at shows and on iTunes. Transpose prides itself on being genre-bending, mixing styles of post-hardcore with progressive metal and screamo. Crediting the Deftones, Tool, Thursday, and Lamb Of God as the main influences, the band created its own sound in the process. Transpose's shows have stretched from Savannah, GA to Orlando, FL and they have opened for bands such as Tub Ring, Fed Up, New Day, Sore Eyes, and Future Leaders Of The World. The first single, "Only The Dead Go Free" was part of WJAP radio's rotation throughout the summer of 2008. ~Reviews~ "Refreshing to see a band not following trends and creating something not heard before. The more you listen, the more you enjoy." - ITUNES REVIEW (April 2008) TRANSPOSE is a band that has no set scene, gimmicks, or clique. We are a group of four people that live, breath, and bleed music. We all have vast tastes in music. This is what we are all about - Setting no limits.... EVER! We do not try to match a style nor do we dress a certain way. We take the grunge/underground metal approach: "What you see is what you get". We also let our stage show do our talking for our music. We don't have attitudes, egos or chips on our shoulders....We leave that all on stage. If we are not bleeding, haven't broke something or one of us hasn't had a heat stroke after a concert.....WE FEEL WE HAVE NOT MET YOUR EXPECTATIONS! (By the way, all or most of those do happen at every show!) TRANSPOSE is a melding of 4 Musicians from different backgrounds that form one sound and vision. Our sound? Not quite metal, almost progressive, nearly grunge, close to screamo, & partially ambient, but not. However, our music is a strong mixture of all these things.... and is what we feel, gives the band the solid foundation of our signature sound....all without ever being trapped in a specific genre. Be warned....TRANSPOSE is a high energy, live band. We leave blood, sweat, & always beer on stage every time we play. It doesn't matter if we are front of two people or a thousand. You will see the same dedication every single time.
