The Bio of TREECEE LEE...Soul waters run deep” It’s not easy getting to know singer/songwriter TreeCee Lee during an interview, especially if you come armed with only her vital statistics: real name, Patrice Parker- middle daughter of R & B icon Betty Wright; Miami-born and raised singing in church choirs and school choruses as well as professional background vocals for superstars including Michael Jackson, and Gloria Estefan. Ask her what she’s about, and you’ll get a soft-spoken phrase about wanting to express herself and share her music with others; a statement so generic that a jaded interviewer might dismiss her all too quickly as just another legacy baby. Known professionally by her childhood nickname, TreeCee, Patrice didn’t immediately embrace the family business. Always known as “the quiet one”, those closest to her knew that because she didn’t talk much- when she did open her mouth she had something to say. Many of those quiet observations later became vivid lyrics and poetry as she moved through her teen years into young adulthood. Tree-Cee really does speak through her music.
