Tried In Absentia formed 5 years ago in the Detroit suburbs.
Good friends Kyle Siira [Lead Guitar], Matt Hammond [Guitar], Frosty [Drums], and Randy Gignac [Bass] were joined by Steven Annex on vocals to complete the band.
All members having past experience playing with local detroit bands, they were craving something new this time around... ever Since they have been playing all over the Detroit and Lansing area and busting their asses writing new material regularly, constantly evolving their sound.
Sometimes described as "very angry Deftones", Tried In Absentia's sound is most simply described as progressive metal.
In 2008 Tried in Absentia recorded a 5-Track Demo and have been spreading around the Detroit metal scene from one person to another.
