BIOGRAPHY TUNZ Life’s lessons through trials and tribulations have shaped TUNZ into a leader. Birthed in Jackson, Mississippi, a few years later he and his family relocated to the Motor City (Detroit, Michigan). TUNZ,the eldest of 3 siblings, was raised on the Westside of Detroit in a single-parent household. Being the oldest male in the home, he became a man quickly. He acquired responsibility and leadership under these common yet unfortunate circumstances. To date, TUNZ is a respected recording artist under his own record label titled “Jam City Music”. TUNZ (tons) short for T-U-N-Z All Capital is the stage name of this Detroit raised artist. For a number of reasons this name was chosen, but mostly to remain vague enough to generate curiosity. Doing this pilots potential listeners more towards answers in his music to decipher his name. This minimizes the possibility of someone predicting the content of his music by the perception of his name. TUNZ could be called nothing else. The unique spelling of his stage name is mistakenly pronounced tunes quite often. Though this still relates to music, it is TUNZ of musical planes he exhibits. In addition, TUNZ describes his heavy beats, heavier punch lines, with the heaviest God-given talent that’s seldom seen. This alone sets him apart from other artists, but even a world-apart with his clean-cut appearance. At the pivotal age of 12, TUNZ wrote his first song. Consumed by the idea that he would be able to rap the song fueled his desire to record it. Not until the age of 17 was he able to feed his appetite for music by recording his very first track. Once TUNZ expressed himself through music, the TUNZ of challenges he encountered up to that moment disappeared. Owning his own recording studio since the age of 22, he has spent plenty of time perfecting his craft. Ultimately he has developed his own unique style that only he could deliver to the music industry.
