The journey would then lead Ty’s Mother to enter him in various talent showcases at an early age with the promise of pocket money if he behaved through the performance. By then Ty had already discovered the seriousness of the gift he was given to reach people with his silky voice reminiscent of the Motown legends & R&B greats of the past. From that point on it would become Ty’s mission to take R&B music to a highly recognized echelon, while bringing back the true essence of R&B. Ty’s talent displays the strong influence on music Detroit continues to have and has never lost since the Motown era began.With influences like Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, & Sam Cooke to name a few Ty feels it is his destiny to reconnect people to the kind of music that will not be forgotten years in to the future. Ty is armed with motivation & desire to play his part in restoring Motown back to the city known for producing what is missing in R&B music today. He intends to bring feeling and crooning back to music in a unique style that is all his own. With the release of his single “Turn It Up” & his debut album to follow Ty wants to make women feel loved through his music & for the men to express themselves through his music to the women that they love. Every artist has a story on why they want to sing & for Ty the ambition is to share his passion for music that speaks to the soul with the rest of the world. He also wants to help return Detroit to its rightful place atop the soul music dynasty.
