Untouchable PaperChasers launched in the summer of 2002, inspired by local artist in the Houston area and worldwide artist. Working out of a low-budget studio, we gained a passion for music and became deeply involved. Throughout the summer we worked on a underground mixtape called, “Underground PaperChasers” which was released at our high school. Gaining a buzz around campus, people complemented our work and some disagreed but that fueled us even more. Taking music to the next level, we decided to sign a artist recording contract with a independent label, giving us a push over competition. At New Era Entertainment, finding our characteristics and deliver was our stepping stone. Working on an album and multiple mixtapes was a daily routine however, at the end of the day albums were not being released. Legal matters were handled, making us artist be independent. In the fall of 2003, Paperchasin Entertainment was launched and legalized. Aiming high, mixtapes were not the focus anymore, original music was the next move. Spring 2004, minds were made up that music was our purpose. Sacrificing material things for studio equipment was a sign of passion and wanting more out of our gift. Negotiating with multiple independent labels only brought us closer to the business side of this industry. UPC possesses gifts and potential, taking action will show more than words.
