The crowds respond positively to the band members’ quirky, energetic stage presence as well as their solid harmonies and pop punk and punk rock melodies that have people humming the tunes long after the show is over. Band members Joe Lobosco (guitar/vocals), Kyle Newins (bass/vocals) and Mikey Rosen (drums/ cymbals) are proud of their newly released EP “Warm Regards for Your Double Standards,” which has garnered a lot of attention among the band’s established dedicated fans and helped increase its ever-expanding fan base. The crowds of people that converge on the band’s merchandise rep, Nina, to pick up free copies of the EP after each show, is evidence of such. Us Against You has been invited back time and again to play at Asbury Park’s historic Stone Pony and has also performed to rave reviews at The Beachcomber in Seaside Heights, Zebu Forno in Freehold and many other local New Jersey venues. They will be playing a highly publicized benefit for children with autism at Bar-Anticipation in Lake Como (formerly South Belmar) May 7. Sophomores at Freehold Township High School, Joe, Kyle and Mikey welcome feedback and any opportunity that presents itself to perform and spread their original music that often focuses on teen angst, rebellion and general confusion about the world we all live in — something their fans can relate well to.
