He didn't want to be another face in the mural of normal suburban life. Instead he went out and begged borrowed and stole equipment to start playing punk rock music with the help of friends and other people with ears for good attitude towards music. With bands like the Bad Brains, Black Flag Bad Religion, NoFx, The Misfits, Reverend Horton Heat, Minor Threat, and Face to Face, Mick was able to teach himself how to spread all different types of messages through kids to kids like him and kids who enjoy the finer things in life like living for a purpose.
