Born Ricky Mena, Two months premature while my mother was 10,000 feet above the ground on a flight, i was born to fly. Although my birth place was Fort Knox Kentucky, I moved to Oakland California too young to remember. At a young age i fell in love with music. Sitting in my diapers at my grandmothers record player listening to old beattles records while wearing headphones bigger then my head is how it all began. As i grew older, i became addicted to the lyric aspect of music. I started writing lyrics of my own at age 9 in the form of poetry and it wasnt untill the age of 12 when i put those poems to my favorite insrumentals. I instantly knew my directon in life after recording my first song onto tape with a tape recoder and mic. After My family moved to pittsburg california I was heard by a local DJ and he introduced me to Rappin 4'tay where i recorded my first professional song called "Get Ready". At 19 i released my first album titled "This is me" and my second titled "Warrior" at age 21. Shortly after i moved to Long Beach California in an attempt to "make it big". I managed to network my way into creating a mixtape called "Above and Beyond". Since then i have worked with a number of notable artists. Some include B Real of Cypriss Hill, Hood Surgeon (dr. dre's son), Tekneek (Karupts producer), Mellow man ace and many more. Currenly I reside in the bay area where earlier this year(2010)i began taking over by booking a large amount of performances which has aided in the growth of my fan base significantly. People know me for the hard working man i am and Respect me for the drive i contain as an artist. Tired of working hard labor, i feel the urgency to make these dreams a reality more then ever now.
