Vett, born Jinel Lovette Abraham, first is the first born of Darlene Abraham. Vett was born at Sinia Hospital in Northwest Baltimore. She was raised in West and Southwest Baltimore City, Maryland before her mothers ensuing drug addiction forced her mother, Vett and her two younger siblings to be evicted and have to move to the county, Woodlawn to be exact. Her is where Vett began to hone her skills. AlreadyI influenced by artists such as TLC, The Notorious B. I. G., Mary J. Bilge, MC Lyte and more, Vett began writing music in the year of 1997.  At first it was just a Bobbie, but then it became a way for her to talk about her pain and the things she'd endured in life. By high school, music had become a passion and Vett found two friends who had the same passion, and so they formed the group T. W. O. (The Worlds Opposite).  The group mainly wrote music together, but never recorded. In 2002, one of the members left, leaving Q and Vett. They formed QV Entertainment and worked on music together whenever they got together andrecorded their first mixtapes in summer of 2006 titled Legal Trappin and Grind Da Muscle. Then in 2007, they were back in the booth recording a joint project titled Tale of Two Cities and was an underground classic. It even found it's was to California. In 2008, Vett decidedtrue pursue music solo, and to seek the help of a record label. She pair up with Grip, CEO of H. D. Records and there she made an immediate impact. She recorded Inroducing Vett (an album that would never be released) and the Mixtape, V! Tru Hollyhood Stories Vol. 1 within a years time. In 2010 Vett recorded the album titled Planet Truth with friend/producer G-Hood, but due to financial barriers the album was never released. Through every project though there was something that stood out tremendously, the lyrical growth. Vett has now reached a point in 2011 where she is able to mix her brashness of her younger days and mix it with her intelligence and wisdom she's gained over the years. Now with 2012 approaching, Vett has a new team, four new mixtapes lined up starting from January onthrough and a passion and vision like never before. Vett currently resides in the Westside of Baltimore City.
