You could say it’s been a long time in the making for Australian electro-rock artist Vivid Point. After learning music instruments throughout his teens, the Sydney-based up-and-comer is starting to put his talent out there for the world to see as showcased on his forthcoming debut single, “Over Again". "I knew fairly early on that I wanted to be an artist one day," he says. "I spent some time in a couple of garage bands for a couple of years but we never really got past the roller door. So it’s good to be at the stage now where I’m stepping things up a notch.” In late 2009, Vivid Point teamed up with his good friend Sonny Truelove and recorded “Over Again” at Sonny’s STL Studios in Sydney. The song is an anthemic, powerful track with lyrics revolving around a problematic relationship and is surprisingly mature considering it’s one of the very first Vivid Point songs. So with a hot debut single on the way, what else is in store for the future? “Next on the agenda is my debut album, which I’m recording with Sonny,” he says. “Then tour and repeat the cycle. I don’t have any grand illusions but it would obviously be amazing if I could really make something of this and make an impact on people around the world like some of my favourite artists do.” "Over Again" will be available on iTunes on 26 November 2010.
