J. Scott Wright has never been an artist that was easy to categorize. His styles run the gamut, and his vocal stylings range from Pop to Jazz, Rock to Dance, Etc....This dynamic vocal artist studied under Madam Darlene Gray of The Norman LuBoff Choir and Maestro Gordon Von Ry. The experience of studying under such noted artists instilled in him the desire to explore and define his musical dimensions. The further he wandered into the musical realm, the more he realized that it was all his playground, with nothing off limits. After winning the M.C.S.F. International Award for Outstanding Vocal Performance Overall, he decided that it was time to begin exploring the sounds that he wanted to make the foundation for his work in music.Venturing into numerous TV appearances, he discovered that he had a great affinity for music that brought a picture to mind. Lyrics became his paint brush and his voice became the canvas. Performing on such shows as To Be A Star (TNN), The Gene Riley Show (TCT), and Michigan Alive (TBN), gave him the very platform that he desired to not only develop his sense of staging but to also expand his reach into the world. He then moved on to host his own Cable Show, (Adrenalin Sky), giving undiscovered talent an opportunity to showcase their talents, as well as to give himself an opportunity to explore media. Two Governatorial Commendations later, J. Scott Wright went on to develop what would become his signature sound. With such songs as All That You Forget, Cathedral Eyes, and Carol of the Snow, he found his home among all styles.2002, saw the creation of a full length CD entitled "Sky Full Of Roses", which fostered many unique and interesting songs. "Xxxuality", "Making Kings", and the inventive creation "High", set in motion a series of events that would eventually lead him to his latest CD."Forward Looking Back", is the first in what will be a trilogy of CD compilations exploring his work and life. Never being one to shy away from experimentation, this collection should prove to be quite the experience. The first two downloadable singles from his new CD, Goodnight (Carol Of The Snow" and "Cathedral Eyes", have both entered the top ten on Download.com popular download charts, with "Goodnight(Carol Of The Snow) topping the Experimental/Classical Popular Download Chart. With nowhere to look but up, it could be said of this artist that even looking back moves him ever forward.
