The genres greats, such as Slick Rick, Kool G. Rap, LL Cool J, Ice Cube, and Big Daddy Kane, inspired him to begin writing. In high school, Vonchi met two fellow MCs while in a freestyle battle, and formed the group Phynol Qol. They traveled to Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Atlanta GA to attend and perform in various music conventions, and obtained various industry contacts. When group members started loosing motivation, Vonchi ventured out on his own with a new drive to express his life experiences through his music. He purchased equipment, and began honing his skills as a music producer & began pre-production of his debut album, No Regret: The Collection. While working on is solo project, Vonchi has performed in a number of local concerts and has been requested to open for such artists as Ludacris, Ciara, Akon, Tank, Mobb Deep, Truth Hurts, Goodie Mob, Bizzy Bone, & Tela, just to name a few. Vonchi collaborates with many through his production &/or rhyming with such artists as Scrybe, T-Wrong, Bear, Syke, Nu Beginning, Amir, Freddy Wayne, P-Minor, most recently he could be heard on DJ Mista Soull's theme song to his segmented show on Power 106.9.
