About Walter Earl

San Francisco, CA

The driving force behind Lemmon House Productions is legendary producer, composer, sound engineer and artist Walter Earl. Earls sounds span across film, documentaries, radio, and independent releases.

Earl began his career in Dallas, Texas, where he studied with many late greats including Kenny Kirlkland, Claude Johnson, and Joe Sample. Earl continued learning with jazz educators Ken Boome, Erik Barnes, and Scott Buckland. Notably, Earl studied with Jazz great Herbie Lewis (featured in the Walter Earl Quintet).

Earls debut album "Fly" sold out quickly, making his mark as an emerging innovator and pioneer of New Jazz. He often shared his talents with producers at Radical House and Tarpan Studios (N.M. Walden). Subsequent releases that showcase Earls unique sound, include "Fillmore Connections", “In the Middle of the Crowd,"Live In San Francisco", and "Feeling The Rhodes".

Over the years, Earl has collaborated with many greats including R & B / Film Producer Victor Phazz Clark, Artist / Producer Bernard Wright, Gospel / Film Producer Marqueth Blackman, Hip-Hop Artist / Filmaker Shadow Skillz and Hip-Hop / Soul Artist Erykah Badu.

Earl influenced and collaborated (in the San Francisco landscape) with: the late DJ / Producer / Composer Scott Hardkiss, and
