Brent and Whitefire co-founder, Jim, were having a discussion about Blackburn spinoffs and side projects and were sifting through different names that's how Whitefire was born. Jim, the only current fulltime member decided this will be a studio project only. "I love being in the studio, working on music in every fascet" Jim explains, "beginning blackburn with my brother(Lee Knowles) was a superb experience" he conitnues, "but the old cliche, everything happens for a reason, applies to my situation with blackburn, but I'm hopefull about Whitefire for sure", he concludes. With Whitefire being a studio project Jim looks forward to Brent Hampton's future contributions and being able to use this as a platform to explore acoustic rock, alt. rock, smooth jazz and bossa nova. One thing is for sure, Whitefire will be burning bright for years to come.
