El Karmaso is an Italian-Ecuadorean band that can be defined “tropical metal/rhum’n’bass/psichedelic reggaeton”, a multicolored complex of intertwined styles like “metal, drum’n’bass, hip hop, electronic and latin music, such as reggaeton, bossa nova, salsa y merengue. El Karmaso was born in 2006, when Amadeus Galiano and Emilia Moncayo moved from their hometown Quito (Ecuador) to Bologna (Italy). After several years of compositions and concerts in underground circuit of Bologna, in 2009 El Karmaso produced their first demo in total self management with thousands of sold copies and they perform and play music all around Italy. The turning point came in 2010, when the band El Karmaso met the sound engineer Alessandro Scala that works in the recording studio of Slow Deep Records, a new label committed to high profile electronic music and started the production of “DeaMadre”. In subsequent years, El Karmaso settled the line up of their music repertoire, alternating the studio recording to the stage, developing and improving the quality of live performances. In June of 2013, El Karmaso started a fundraiser through the platform of crowdfunding Musicraiser.com, to finance the printing of new album. The market feedback is very positive and a lot of copies were booked in Europe, U.S.A. and South America. In 28 February 2014 was officially presented the LP “Dea Madre” in the same place where El Karmaso hosted their debut eight years earlier. A few days after the album release, the whole band El Karmaso moved to Ecuador, in order to point to North and South American market and to work to the drafting of new LP. The italian, spanish, english and portoguese texts and various strong influences of world music make of El Karmaso a music product of International breath, particularly indicated for North and South American market.
