XPLANATION is originally a in 2002 formed doommetalband under the name of SILENT MISERY,by Daniël ten Brinke, Ronald Birsak and Donny Aartse. Three of the original members of the late SERENADES OF DARKNESS (r.i.p.) After six months the bassplayer left the band for personal reasons. A replacement had to be found and quick! Donny set out a search and found another to fill the void. Rehearsel went on but after a while the dudes had had it with the slow-ass doommusic and chose a new musical path, wich was more suitable for their needs,a more agressive type of heavy metal,a new band was born...XPLANATION. A second guitar player was added. After recording a demo c.d. disaster struck and, the guitarplayer left XPLANATION. the band struggled on but XPLANATION was nearly dead. Early march 2007 Guitarplayer Olaf van Dijk joined the ranks of XPLANATION and the band sparked of with renewed energy. They worked their butts of to get a show together in the XPLANATION style,balls to the wall heavy metal with a soundwall of blasting guitars,thundering drums and bass and Daniëls bonecrushing vocals. XPLANATION plays their own material but deviate now and then into some form of a brutally raped cover. Finally the day came for the first tryout in the new setting as support act for CILICE,23 november 2007 at j.c. ESCAPE in Veenendaal,XPLANATION'S home. A great succes in the history of XPLANATION was booked,a full house and a great energetic show (slideshow),reactions were overwhelming!!! Lately a new c.d has been recorded by XPLANATION and is now in the process of beïng mixed,release date mid. januari 2008.
