They say patience is the key to making it anywhere in life. Well, I feel that statement is very true. All throughout my life, I've patiently waited for that chance to reach not only my goal but my dream. I now feel that I'm getting closer and closer to achieving what I've worked my whole entire life for. Music is my passion, my life, and my first and only true love. All my life I've worked towards it and it's starting to pay off. I'm a true living example of dedication, determination, focus, loyalty, patience, and heart, a very humble being. I know what I want with my life and will stop at nothing to get where I want, need, and where I'm meant to be.Welcome, the name's Reem, and I'm a 19 yr. old hip-hop artist/producer born August 8th, 1988 on the east side of Decatur, Illinois. Even as a baby, I knew that music is what I wanted to follow as my mother told me I always danced to the tunes of anything I heard. As I got older, my love for music only got stronger and stronger and stronger. By the time I reached the age of 15, I started making beats as that's what I was interested in at first while listening to music. I loved everything about a song but the beat is always what kept me in love with any song that was in my head. So I researched and taught myself exactly how to make a beat. Like anybody who's just starting off at something, I was complete garbage. Since I was still very young at the time, I let that get me down and I felt like giving up. After a few months, though, I was back making beats and this time around, I wasn't going to let anything hold me back and I was determined to get better and better. Eventually, I was making beats that all my friends were falling in love with and that I fell deep in love with. It became my hobby and what I really wanted to do. I started selling beats to those who were interested and I made a nice amount. I made $100 to $600 per beat but after a while, I got interested in rapping as well. I wanted to be the center of attention while also, being behind-the-scenes of things. In the summer of 05, I made my first song and once again, like many beginners, I was complete garbage. So instead of recording song after song, I wrote song after song to beat after beat, trying to develop myself and polish my craft. I didn't put out another song until the summer of 06 which is where everything really began. As my fanbase grew, I only got better and better. Lyrics got even more clever, flow more complex and smooth with more of a variety, songs more catchy, and overall, only got better and better but being the humble person I am, I can only get better because I feel I haven't scratched the surface of what I can become, yet. I feel there's so much more space to become better. It's Fall 07 now, the stage is set for my year to come. 08 is my year and I will show my family, friends, fans, and doubters that I am meant to be a legend and a name that will never ever be forgotten. The name's Reem and I'm the future of the music industry.
