Ying was born in Richmond, VA in December of 1989. Spending most of his childhood life in Stafford , VA, Ying was blessed with the opportunity of living in an upscale area. While attending Stafford Middle School, Ying met his business partner Yang "The One And Only". At the age of 13, Ying and Yang formed a group (Ying Yang) and a production label called Ying Yang Productions. Ying moved forward in 2006 with his first mix-tape titled "Ying's Back", in referance to his recent departure from music. The physical CD did very well for a first mix-tape selling in total to date; 492 copies. Shortly after the mix-tape released, Ying decided that he wanted more than just a production label. While talking to a former label member, Ying came up with the slogan "Itz Magik". Reason being was that everything Ying and other members did involving music was "Magik'. After the slogan came the recording label's name, "Magik Entertainment". Ying continued to work as the producer of Magik Ent. for years. "I've worked with alot of local artists, yet none work as hard as Magik artists." Ying said. Ying soon decided to add the infamous AKA to the end of his name, "Da Boss". With his new name, new label, new artists, and new music, Ying Da Boss was very successfull in the local music scene. After working on business plans and new music, Ying and Yang decided to shut Magik Entertainment down for a period of time in 2008 to organize the label and get licensed. Months of planning go by, and in June of 2009 Ying and Yang opened the doors to a licensed recording label looking for new artists. In 2010, Ying is working on serveral projects and always looking for new ways to "amp-up" Magik Entertainment as a business.
