As a child, I was very mature for my age. Family always came first when it came to taking care of my loved ones and their goals in life. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, I grew up in the worst of neighborhoods and my lifestyle, although grimy, I became who I am today. I consider myself a young man with a dream to become successful and take care of the family that wants so much of me. There are many reasons why I struggle to become what I dream of becoming for many reasons. Before I continue, I want to tell you what I want to become in life, an accountant, an entrepreneur, and/or a hotel owner. While being a kid, negativity streamed through my blood and I was a horrible child until one event changed my whole life.
One day while I was relaxing with my friends, I got a call from the hospital and they said that my god father wants to see me. So when I got up to the hospital and entered my godfather’s room, and he wanted to talk to me. I was so worried when I saw him in all those tubes and wires. It just made me so afraid I was going to lose an inspiration to everything I worked for. Losing him made me a different person inside & out. Once my godfather died, I had no father figure in my life and I started doing everything on my own. From cleaning the whole household up to making my own money. I feel as though if you can make it on the streets and not even wanting to pursue that aspect of life, then you will make it anywhere in life.
As time went along, my mother moved after she had my younger brothers Thurman & Devon Gause. Moving to Washington, DC was the hardest transition I had ever made yet. When I arrived to Washington, I still had to provide for myself by doing illegal moves and making the wrong decisions. I would say that Washington made me an even worse person and I became somewhat influenced by what surrounded me. Different men tried to become somewhat of a father figure to me but it seemed to back fire as I didn’t allow many male men to try to be there for me. Providing for me and my family was a tough task and although brutal at times, I became better by hanging with the right people under the right circumstances.
Now, I pursue many things including music, accounting, and entrepreneurship. I started my own label called One Shot Entertainment. My family is doing wonderful and showing the world what living a bad life can do if you just think positive for one moment. I have ten artists on my label . I’m currently working on a mixtape called “One Shot Presents: The Mixtape Volume 1” Life to me gets better by the day and I just love the people who support me when it comes to school, music and other goals I want to accomplish. Although I still wish I could live in Baltimore, being in Washington, DC changed my life completely. I don’t like DC but it sure had a major impact on my life.
