About Zavette Gibson

Detroit, MI

Phenomenal is one word that adequately describes the performing talents of Gospel Artist Zavette Gibson. The Detroit native has been singing since a young age and blessing others with her gift throughout her life. Also an accomplished songwriter, she has been inspired to write the majority of her debut album, First Love, due for release Fall 2010.

Over the years she has opened for artists Karen Clark-Sheard, Lee Williams, and Deitrick Haddon. She has also sung background vocals for recording artists Evelyn Turrentine-Agee, Simone Parker, hip hop pioneer KRS One, Deitrick Haddon, Twinkie Clark and gospel legend Dorothy Norwood. She is presently serving as Minister of Music at Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church.

With vast interests in many areas of the Performing Arts, she conquered yet another genre when she obtained a role touring with Pastor Freddie L. Thomas, the stage plays When Love Goes Bad, and most recently, From Sinner to Saint. She is a young woman filled with excitement and energy that exudes when she is electrifying the audience with her powerful voice. Not only is Zavette a talented singer, but a promising songwriter and actress whose sole purpose is to reach one more for Jesus. Stay tuned for great things to come from the exceptional woman of God.
