For Alabama’s own music group ‘’No Mercy Dem Countriboys” getting to record a song pressed and published to the world, is like a dream come true. The three members of the group, HunnitStacks(Anthony Battle), B.A. Tha Truth(Perez Young), and Smoke Aka ‘’The Boss man’’(Cortez Young), for them music has been a major part in their daily hustle.“We gave up most of our lives to pursue music ,” HunnitStacks says as the noise declines from the room. “When No Mercy was first trying to make it as a group, we were willing to take risks and try anything and I salute that.” The Group describes their music as down to earth deep in a lively perspective while at the same time insinuating the struggles they faced every day. “Our music is about stories. All of those stories of being a “Bottom Boy Survivor”. We never made a song that we could not relate to in some way, shape, or form. Our music will always reflect God’s Work on us.” When asked about there first experience in a Alabama studio, they responded, “Our producer was amazed at the original talent getting recorded at their studio . They said sign “NO MERCY”!!!!And the studio engineer could not believe we had never been into the studio before this experience.” ‘’No Mercy Dem Countriboys” even though they are not new to the ups and downs of the music industry, that does not mean that ‘’No Mercy Dem Countriboys” does not seek constant improvement and constructive criticism in all areas. “You cannot be an artist and not perform, but they are more than artists. “We have spent time studying and researching everything about the music industry and becoming an artist”. This is not just a dream of ours, this is God’s Work so we are determined to achieve.” While ’No Mercy is in Rap music, we also bring God in as an influential being to our music. “As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me “mark7”. That why ‘’No Mercy Dem Countriboys” is the moon and Jesus Christ is our sun cause without him how can we shine. Some people still do not understand or care to with that said B.A. asserts. From a young age, music has been a major inspiration in their lives from which they made a lifestyle that most people cannot understand. The faith and spiritual ability that comes from their soul into a track is well known when the play button is pressed, whether it’s played on a IPod or in a car with six 12 inch subs ‘’No Mercy Dem Countriboys” music will drown out the competition because of the raw emotion expressed in each song.“We are here to bring back what hip- hop use to be while incorporating a new style of rap to the music industry, so all we have to say is “Yall Ready”.
