The Dean (Knoxville, TN) (UPDATED! 4/21/17)
Born in Vincennes in 1983, Eliot Dean Graham moved to the west side of Indy with his mother at age 7 after his father passed (Vietnam Veteran). His first hobby (besides sega) was to record songs off his boombox radio and rewind them over and over until memorized… Most popular song at the time was 2Legit 2Quit. He moved a couple more times and had to learn quickly how to adapt, make friends, and fend off all the bullies that seemed to follow. He has learned to appreciate all music, and listened to rock and alternative consistently (Nirvana, Metallica, Aerosmith, Oasis, Linkon Park etc…) until regaining and interest in rap & hip/hop.
With the likes of Bone Thugs N Harmony, Do or Die, and DMX, The Dean finally found his favorite genre. Playing street ball in multiple cities/neighborhoods over the last 20 years has taught him the important aspects of Respect, Teamwork, Heart, Hustle, Sacrifice, Courage, Dedication, Relentlessness, & Appreciation for life in general. Maturing as a man and as an artist, he tries to incorporate all of the above into his style and influence anyone who will listen.
He is in his 10th year of recording and is currently working on the long awaited Dean Filez Vol.3, which will include roughly 10 brand new tracks from Shadowville Productions. Putting his career solo track number at 27+.
A couple of near death experiences, run-ins with the law, failed relationships, and stressful under-paying jobs, slowly forged him into the beast he is today. He is proud to contribute to the Midwest Movement among favorite artists such as: Twista, Bone Thugs, Do or Die, Eminem, T-Rock, Tech N9NE, VokeL & C-Mob. His current path puts him on the edge of "The Dirty South", as he has made a life changing move to Tennessee.
Keep your ears open for more great music of all sounds and styles!
