Amirah is truly a bonafide artist. She is a published author, a yogi as well as a songstress and all of her artistic crafts are displayed in musical style. Inspired by soul music, hip hop and early jazz and R&B legends the likes of Sarah Vaughn, Cassandra Wilson, Sade and Minnie Riperton, Amirah grew up cultivating her silky-smooth vocals by swooning along with her radio. She grew up in the DC Metro area, where she still performs on occasion.
