Wicked Saints is a folk-rock/americana band that lets all the influences in. Rock, folk, reggae, blues, country music all poke their heads in at some point. But it's more about letting each individual song say what it needs to say, the way it needs to say it.
The Way I'm Strung is off to a nice start already. It hit #1 on Ourstage.com Indie Rock category in December, and #2 in January or this year. Our debut album was self-produced at Milestone Recording in Los Angeles, produced by Annie Miles and at Wilmac Studio in Altadena, produced by Paul McCarty and David Williams. Singer/songwriter Paul McCarty hails from New Orleans. His southern roots show in his songs. Paul was a music composition major in college and has a background in indie film scoring. He’s backed up by the illustrious Chad Watson on bass. Chad is from Missouri and has played with many luminaries including Charlie Rich, Janis Ian, Freddy Fender and more. Drummer John Gannon has an impressive dynamic presence, Brent Michelle graces the band with her background vocals and Bobby Thomas adds beautiful colors on piano and accordion. Wicked Saints have played all around Los Angeles venues, including Kulak’s Woodshed, Genghis Cohen, The Armory, Make Music Pasadena Festival, The Mint, The Unurban, and many more.
