Well i wake up in the mornin I go to work everyday I'm just trying to get to Friday to collect my meager pay This year feels like last year, last year like the year before Today feels just like yesterday, yesterday like the day before But i know just where i m a goin when i head out my front door When I was young man i sailed the ocean wide In schooner and in square rig i sailed on her mighty tides I have faced her slashing greybeards i been aloft in mighty blow I have ridden the widow-maker divin bows ten feet below Chorus: Today feels just like yesterday, yesterday like the day before But i know just where i'm a goin when i head out my front door. Well i been grounded and i been pounded on mean old choral reef But we got her off to sail away boys much to all of our relief Now i have my very dear friends some are here and some are gone And i have lost some very best friends, but love stil carries on. Now I work a simple day job I spend my time upon the shore You can find me on the waterfront but I don't go to sea no more Now this year feels like last year, last year like the year before Today feels just like yesterday, yesterday like the day before But i know just where my heart is, when i come home through my front door.
