Description
By this point in his journey, the young Mavis has left home and roamed through the asphalt veins of our civilized world facing the wrathful reality of wind, rain, hunger and loneliness. If not for the intervention of the traveling prophet, it is likely that Richard would have despaired of ever reaching the Evergreen Plains. But pushed by an unknown echo in his mind, he pursued his quest and eventually reaching the city and confronting its might.
Lyrics
Cross town and cross country Highway and little roads My mind is full of pictures Of the landscape that I saw People through my journey Most are now my friends And their advices all lead me To the evergreen plains I was blind now I can see The real destination’s not what it seems I’ve end my journey Now I can rest And only now I realize the treasure was the quest Done with the trials done with the pain I feel at peace now cause my efforts weren’t vain They’ve built a mall in Eden But I don't really care ‘Cause the best part of the journey was getting there I was blind Now I can see The real destination’s not what it seems I’ve end my journey Now I can rest and only now I realize the treasure was the quest Traveling forward traveling back Traveling east west north and south Doing my best to stay on the tracks Of the ones who came before me on my task The bluesmen the poets the rockers and the junkies The homeless the poor the travelers on his journey Everyone connects to a cosmic level With the dreams of escape and needs of travel I say hey hey Everyone is on a road to go Wow wow The place in their minds when they’re left alone. The evergreen plains The evergreen plains
