Every year we look ahead to see the things we want to accomplish and to change, both about ourselves and about our circumstances. I had a very pointed evening of those thoughts in Los Angeles and spent the whole night journaling in LA Live about it - in light of a dream i had the night before about breaking out of prison. So this song is all about a personal decision break out of the prison of my past and press forward determined and free.
