Garden of Roses

Nathan Dunton wrote the song in New Zealand, overwhelmed by the beauty of a Rose Garden and his travels. The chorus is composed of the names of the roses in the garden, Emily Louise, Hope and Harmony set to a haunting melody. The arrangement was inspired by great songs such as "Cabinessence" by Brian Wilson and given a cinematic treatment to the sound. In 6/8 time with real orchestral instruments "Garden of Roses" is a organic buffet of sounds for the heart as well as the ears.
