Description
I wrote " A Cold Wind Blows" on October 7, 2010 a few minutes after I finished "This Place Must be Heaven". I was in my house looking out my window over the harbor and I started playing a little word game with myself by sort of just rhyming everything I was looking at, while trying to use the least amount of phrasing possible. Last night I started singing and playing it the first way that came to mind. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for listening! Cheers! Peter L. Warburton
Lyrics
"A Cold Wind Blows" written by Peter L. Warburton october 7, 2010. A cold wind blows On the bay today White caps roll On an icy grey A Seagull floatin' On an Icy Wind Ship loadin' frieght To her belly with in A collier rolls past Castle hill light She won't be the last They sail by all night A yachtsman steams Out the harbors' mouth He got big dreams Of a headin' South All bundled up And takin spray Better button up Gonna be a long day Refrain: all 6 versus from beginning Then follow with last verse: A cold wind blows On the bay today Glad I'm Home Here to stay.
