This compositions is written in the subdivision of seven (Misra Chapu), inspired by clas-sical Indian music. A simple theme played with long sustained notes slowly develops into a series of polyrhythms that sets up the actual groove. The main theme is written in 5/16 over 7/8, creating a nice little oasis with the two layers repeating. The piece then takes the guitar and marimba through a journey of various har-monic and rhythmic variations.
