George Douglas Lee is a singer, songwriter, playwright, columnist, actor, fine artist and host/writer of Electric Theatre Radio Hour. Music is perhaps my first love. I began writing songs when I was lead singer for the rock band "Uncle Jak", in Huntsville, Texas during the early 70's. Following those four years, having written over 30 original songs, I recorded three singles as a solo artist, then formed "White Heat" and "GEO" with bassist Joe Alford and played gigs throughout the Southwest, then recorded the album "Made To Be Played" in 1982. The band parted company in 1984. I moved back to my hometown of Galveston, Texas in 2000, and began playing solo gigs and began writing again, and polishing the older tunes. In 2004, I released the cd "Courthouse Cafe", followed by a retrospective from the "White Heat/GEO" recordings, "Rock and Roll Singer", then released "Drama", "Emotional Acrobat" and "Renaissance Man" in 2009. I formed the band Electric Theatre in 2009 based in Galveston. I have also written songs for musical plays, jingles and film scores. I am equally at home writing and playing country, rock, pop and blues.
